University of Science and Technology is intent on having its
students play a pivotal role in all its efforts and activities.
It is keen on fulfilling the needs of development through
graduating quality cadres who possess both academic strength and
job market skills and are capable of competing with other
universities’ graduates.
It’s also keen on seeing its graduates fully committed to their
Arabic and Islamic identity, loyal to their country and ready to
contribute to the community as they engage in team work through
a comprehensive well-integrated General Education program. The
University aspires to produce graduates who possess critical and
creative thinking, leadership and self–assessment skills, moral
awareness, and commitment to professional ethics and who
appreciate diversity, respect other cultures and accept other
opinions without prejudice.
AU will achieve this by means of an outcome based curricula,
capstone experience, work-learning integrated environment,
active learning environment, state of the art campus, hi-tech
teaching environment, and ongoing assessment of student
achievement.
AU has the intention of creating a research foundation to foster
scientific research held by AU faculty, and to build ties with
local as well as international industrial firms to secure
funding for their research projects.
Through its continuing education center, training in assessment,
information technology, quality assurance, public access to an
electronic library and IT labs, AU will extend its unlimited
