Training Program for AU Librarians

Experts from Zayed Library at UAE University have organized an Advanced Training Program in Cataloguing and Classification for the AU Librarians. By this end of the training program, trainees were awarded participation certificates by Prof. Numan Shahadeh, Vice President of AU and Dr. Hussam Sultan Al Ulamah, Libraries Dean, UAE University.

 

AU signed a Memorandum of Understanding

The AU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lander University, South Carolina (USA). According to Prof. Numan Shehadel, AU Vice President, this Memorandum will pave the way for multi cooperation between the two universities. The vice president added that this memorandum will activate strategies of continuous active learning together with the evaluation of the educational process, since this memorandum aims at developing scientific research, organizing conferences and exchanging students and faculty members. Prof. Ball, President of Lander University, indicated that the signed memorandum will enhance cultural exchange between the students of the two universities and will contribute to the development of the academic standards.

 

Al Ain University Launches Cisco Academy

Al Ain University of Science and Technology announces, under the supervision of the United Arab Emirates University-Cisco Regional Networking Academy, a partnership with Cisco Systems, Inc., the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet, to launch a Local Cisco Networking Academy. The Academy program prepares students for networking and IT-related careers in the public and private sectors, as well as for higher education in engineering, computer science and related fields.
